Dosn't time fly!!!!

I have neglected my journal in favour of 'another place' but am missing writing down lifes experiences.So I am back :)
It has nearly been one whole year since I last wrote here.Can you believe it?
Stay tuned..I will compile a brief rundown of 2008's events.Some you might know and some you might not.I'll be back :)

Hi all,

        Lots has happened since I was here last year.Thought I would bring you all up to speed and post some pics as well...

Last year..Jesse graduated from Year 12 at Stanthorpe High School.

and again.From left to right we have Ray, Adan, Josh, Mitch, Jesse and Frankie.
Last I heard..Ray was working in Adan's mothers restaurant.Adan is doing graphics Design.Josh was working at a tomato farm.Mitch has joined the Navy and is doing an Electrician apprenticeship at good ole H.M.A.S Cerberus!!! Jesse is working in fresh produce at IGA(till he turns 18..then it's off to the army but I am trying to talk him into following Mitch into the NAVY...family connections and all that..lol) and Frankie is an apprentice mechanic.A really nice bunch of boys.

Okay..we moved to Monto early December.Our house is a renovators delight!!
Siobhan spent the holidays with us.









Jack started Prep at Monto. He has already aquired 2 'Principals Awards', one of them for good manners!!!! That was a shock. He has the best teacher I have ever come across in all my childrens schooling..Mrs Steinberger.The kids love her.

Thankfully she wasn't a nutjob or psycho..lol (Remember Two feathers??? hehehe)

Whilst I was down that way I also caught up with some more fine people..

 Hans and Lal.Jack now thinks of Lal with much fondness after this meeting.When he sees pictures of her he now says, "Hey!!! That my Aunty who gave me that big bag of presents and I cuddled her.." Lal, you made an impression..hehe

Jacob is growing up and being a clown as usual.He is doing school full time now as his apprenticeship fell through unfortunately.Still night packing at IGA.



This is Natsha, my cat that I bought up from Wallangarra.My dog actually likes her and has never gone for her (Neo has killed 2 cats in the past) Her mother was a feral and she was the only surviving kitten out of 4.At one stage natasha mother was rearing her in the bough of a silky oak tree so the tom cats wouldn't kill her.I called her natasha after the evil N in the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon.She looks cranky but is a beautiful natured cat.More like a dog.

Hello all :)

At the moment I am undergoing some major Dental work which I thought I would share with you all for two reasons.One-so you don't stupidly do what I did and put off going to the dentist and 2..sympathy.LOL

I have always had problems with going to the Dentist.I think part of this is hereditary.My Father would apparently faint on the way to the Dentist.He would tell me these stories when I was a child and it didn't really do much in the way of calming my own little fears.I hate it.Everything about it.

Anyhow consequently I do not go as often as I should.And I also put off going if I really have to.This little practice of mine has made me realise I am my own worst enemy- teeth wise!
 About a month ago I started getting a pain in one of my back teeth and I of course just popped a shitload of neurofen forte and kept on trucking.Then my face swelled up on one side.Then the pain was so bad that neurofen+wine+more wine did nothing except made my stomach bleed so I bit the bullet and decided I best get to the Dentist.

Tenterfield had just acquired a new Dentist.He is assisted by his gorgous wife and the two of them look like hobbits- height wise.(not hard next to me!) They also work like a well oiled machine and to watch them in action they look like busy little bees, swarming around a patients mouth.I got myself an appointment and was told straight up that I needed one of those Xrays that take the whole mouth.I was to do that and return.I was also told that I might lose a tooth :(

I return with my Xray and Johnno, my Dentist, informs me that he has to do a vitalogy test on a few of my teeth because some of them appear to be dead.

WTF??? Dead teeth? But they are white.Dead teeth are black!!! My teeth are white, well, yellowish white.Ex smoker white.LOL
I have the test which involves Johnno touching my teeth with an instrument cooled to below freezing and if I flinch- they are alive.
I don't flinch for 5 of them.I have 5 dead teeth :( Apparently the abcess killed them.

I blame my 5 children.My teeth were fine till they came along.In fact, they were great!

So the plan of attack is to remove the teeth and get a part denture made for the bottom.I also decide since I have the guts to even be at the dentist to organise getting veneers on my front teeth.

Today I had 3 removed.I have named my dead teeth after my kids.Jesse and Jacob came out fine but Siobhan was very stubborn.She took extra novacaine and a twisting motion.I thought my jaw was going to break and Johnnos wife held my head down.Quite traumatic!! Then I see the poster of all Dental posters.I kid you not!! I could not believe my eyes!!!

I am not fucking joking!! This hangs in my Dentists room!
How in the hell is that supposed to chase away your fears!What an evil, sick sense of humour.I love it :) hahahahahahahahaha

Anyway..in a fortnight, Jack and Conan will be removed.Then the veneers and then I am off to the Dental Technician to get my pretty teeth made.Ones that wont give me any grief...unlike my Children.I should then look a million bucks.
Meanwhile tonight I am spitting blood into an old tea towel and vowing to myself that I will never ever not go to the Dentist regularly ever again.

So take heed kiddies.Unless you like the look of a black toothed grin get your arse to the Dentist.It really isn't that bad once you are in the chair.Even if their choice of decoration is seriously twisted.

Some Conan Facts!!

Conan was born at 12.40pm at Stanthorpe Hospital.I was in labour for 1 hour and 40 minutes but like his sister, Siobhan, his shoulders got stuck :P
He was a very good and happy baby and still is.He loves the Wiggles and his favourite sandwich is peanut butter and honey.He also loves books and when all is quiet you can find Conan on his bed with all his books,'reading'.He refuses to kiss anyone- only cuddles.He still wakes up every night without fail.His favourite words at the moment are poo and wee.He thinks they are hysterical and he is trying hard to count.

Kids are great, especially mine :) Nanny and Poppy came over for the celebrations.I was sad that Justin couldn't come home.I know he would dearly have loved to be here.Poor Jesse and Jacob were both quarantined to their room with the vomits- I had it yesterday:-/

All in all a lovely day for a lovely little person.I cannot believe my baby is 2.

Having my new babies out the back has made me realise how much I do enjoy having Guinea Pigs- young and old.

I am a relatively new pig owner.I have only had them for 12 months.When I first got them I looked for websites that could educate me on these beautiful little creatures and I found some fantastic forums out there with an amazing group of breeders, owners and Vets that were only too happy to give out Information on the proper care of Guinea Pigs.

My favourite forum would have to be 'Guinea Pigs World'. A great bunch of members- mostly breeders but a treasure trove of information on everything relating to pigs.The photo gallery is absolutely gorgeous!

On the 20th of October the event I was waiting for finally happened!!

Johanna and Penelope had their babies! I awoke to 5 of the biggest baby Guinea Pigs I have ever seen!
Here they are- 2 days old and eating grass already! For those who don't know, baby pigs are born with eyes open and running around.Quite active! And after a few days they will nibble on grass.After 3 weeks you have to seperate the boys and girls because babies can happen!
Here are my newest babes.I want to keep the pale brindle one.I have not sexed them yet.Wait till they are a bit older.

Ermm..anyone like a piggy?

On the 17th of October it was our Wedding Anniversary and every year we forget it..LOL. We remember it when we are coming up to it but we both never seem to remember it on the day!

Justin and I have been married for only 3 years but we have been together for 6.And we did everything backwards-we met, bought a house, had a baby and then got married.
It worked for us! Now we have 2 beautiful boys and life is sweet :)

Anyhow, thought I would share a bit on how we met and our Wedding~ Enjoy!

The first time Justin said he saw me was when my sister, Tara, conned me into entering my first and last wet T-Shirt contest.(Tara came second..I came third) I do not remember seeing Justin.In fact I don't remember much at all about that night.Anyhow a few weeks later he came into my workplace and said,"You were that girl in the wet T-Shirt comp!!". I ignored him as I was totally mortified that someone recognised me at all.

A few months later I bumped into him at a nightclub called "The Loose Goose" which sadly does not exist anymore.He followed me into the ladies toilet where we commenced to have a sing-a-long(No..sing-a-long is not slang for a shag.We were actually singing a song together) We were then kicked out by the other female patrons so we headed downstairs where we swapped numbers and went back to our homes.We met up the next day and after about 2 months of chasing I finally gave into him and we were a couple :P

Here are a few Wedding shots.It was held at the Emerald Botanical Gardens.The day was about 38 degrees but other than that the day was very relaxed and casual.We had a big party under a marquee back at our house.All in all a great day!

Happy Day!

We had the reception at our house.It was alot of fun and very relaxing for the guests.I spent 2 hours in the kitchen preparing food!! Luckily I had Jim Beam to help me and my Chef friend, Mandy.Consequently I was in bed at 10pm, drunk and Justin, Tara and Paul stayed up till 3am drinking around the fish pond.We all had a great time.Mum and Tara came up for the occasion but that was it from my side.Most of Justins family came and alot of our friends in Emerald.A very happy day :)

Here is my belated Birthday present from my husband- my car.
   We took our time trying to find what we wanted.I finally found it at Kedron on Monday.
I had the ultimate 'baptism of fire' driving it home in peak hour traffic down Gympie Road.How do those freaks do that everyday?? No wonder people have high blood pressure!! I survived though- LOL
It is a 2004 Ford BA XT. It has only got 90 thousand K's on the clock and has been RACQ checked.It is immaculate and most importantly- goes very fast very quickly ;)

It is a very dark green but it sort of looks black in the pics.





My other car AKA "The Green Hornet" is being fixed.So I will then have two cars but I will keep the Hyundai for Jesse to practice in.He aint driving this baby!!

So- done pretty well for myself.In the last few weeks we have acquired a house and now a car.They say things happen in 3's.Whats next- a new baby??

I am going to miss this garden :(

I recently had the pleasure of attending my cousins Wedding.Denise looked beautiful as did alot of other people who attended.Suprisingly it was quite an emotional day for me.I saw cousins that I had not seen in 15 years!!Not to mention my beloved Aunty Shirley. My cousin, John and I worked out it had been 19 years since we saw each other last.A long time! Most of them had not changed one bit..well..maybe a few more 'greys' since I last saw them.
 
A fantastic evening and over all too soon.Wish I could of had the opportunity to hang around for a few days and do a bit more catching up.Makes me all the more determined to make that journey south.

I have had enough children to know that when a small child (or even a big child) is quiet for more than 2 minutes then they are up to something sinister.

Here is the product of my 4 year old being quiet.When I went to investigate why his constant chatter was not woodpeckering my brain I was met with this..
"Look Mummy..Im the Black Spiderman!!!"

 Oh and to make things worse, whilst I was frantically looking for something to remove the permanent marker from him he decided that he needed a touch of red...
 Yeah..very frikkin funny!

But what was quite comical was his artistry didn't stop above the waist.He had also drawn alot of 'Webs' all over his legs and around his doodle which made him look like he had sprouted pubes!!! 
It reminded me of the time a young Jacob had an allergic reaction to fake tattoos that were stuck on his privates.It was  the Disney characters.."Lilo and Stitch".Lilo was stuck onto his penis while Stitch was stuck straight on his scrotum.Jacob had an allergic reaction to the tattoos and by the time he came to me his bits looked like a daffodil bulb!! Lilo was not smiling anymore..she was grimacing!!
The Doctor thought it was very funny.Actually we all did except Jacob.

Today I am 36.
I seriously do not feel 36.
It only seems like yesterday I was waiting at 'stop 15' for the train into Frankston to meet up with my friends.Those were the days :)

The day has been pretty standard.Except that Justin left this morning to go back to Monto.I think though he is coming down in 2 weeks to help me with the rest of the packing and getting the house ready to rent out.Not that much needs to be done.But I like to leave the house the way I want it to be kept.Not that it helped last time :P

So..for my birthday I received 2 things.One of which I am still waiting for.My new car.But I am not going to rush into that one.I had the chance to have a look at a few cars on the weekend but nothing grabbed me.Apparently the cars are cheaper up north so I will let Justin have a look on his days off.
My beloved Jesse and Jacob bought me my favourite box of chocs..



But when you share these things with 4 sons they soon disappear..like in 5 frikkin minutes!!!! Never agin :P


But still..thats one way to not consume to many calories!

All in all it has been a nice day.I got out into the garden and did some more mulching and weeding with my favourite brownie.In fact..I have a question.What sort of tree/shrub is this? The flowers smell exactly like Wrigleys 'Juicy Fruit' chewing gum.I have no idea but it is a fantastic grower and it does smell quite nice.

Well, I am at it again.

Sian aka "The Welsh Gypsy" is packing to move.Yes, we have only been back for 6 months and before that we were in CQ for 7months. I should never have left.We should of hung around for Justins job interview to be finalised but as Justin says,"We were being Russian!"..and we rushed off.

   So I am doing what I do best.Pack a house.We moved around alot as kids with Dad in the Navy and I have definately kept it up as an adult.But, I am getting tired of it. I want to settle somewhere..I think :P

So it's back to Monto.We liked it there.We only left because Justin needed work and there was not the sort of work going that he wanted.He had not had the job interview then.Monto is a great place.Cania Gorge and Lake Cania is on it's doorstep and thet hold a famous fishing competition there every year.No water restrictions in Monto(YAY!!). The town runs on bore water.You get used to it but most houses have tanks.I love the climate and I am only 5 hours from Siobhan.Im too far away from her down here.So..I cant wait to go. Jesse is finishing Year 12 down here and he will meet up with us later.Spend some time with us till he joins the army.

Look at my little mate! He visits every day.I love him.I so want to cuddle him.He is lucky we dont have cats.Neo sees to that! 






They say that Galahs are a symbol of joy.(www.animaldreaming.com) I think that means that the move is definately the right thing to do in regards to my family.I have one lonely husband and a sad little 4 year old.Not nice.
The only thing I will miss down here would have to be my fantastic hairdresser in Tenterfield, Karen.Have a look at the magic she worked, yesterday.



I love my hairdresser.I am going to miss her very much.But I do have a hairdresser in Monto who isn't too bad either.And she is a quarter of the price of Karen but Karen definately is the best.So long, Karen!! When I come back for holidays I will be popping over for a quick cut and colour for sure! LOL

So..I have lots to look forward to.My cousins wedding. Seeing Denise looking gorgeous.Catching up with extended family. My husband coming home and getting organised for the move.Pack Pack Pack!! Jesse gets home on Saturday.I have missed him too. He has had a great time. Cant wait to see him too. My next month will be jammed packed.No rest for the wicked!
